I have noticed over the years that there are few books or resources for architects and engineers on the strategies and tactics of managing and producing projects. As far as I know, there are no books that apply Lean to that effort. For some time I have considered writing one on Lean in architecture and am pleased to announce that publisher, John Wiley and Sons - https://www.wiley.com has agreed to publish a book on the topic. It will be titled - Lean Architecture: Excellence in Project Delivery.
Greg Buchanan, AIA, LEED AP BD+C is joining me for this effort as co-author. Greg has been my speaking partner since 2013. He is a fellow graduate of the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign - only about 10 years later. Greg shares my passion for understanding how to produce better projects and has spent many years developing strategies which help advance consistent project delivery at firms.

Greg and I are in the midst of writing now and will provide Wiley a completed manuscript by late summer 2020. Following a subsequent effort to review and finalize the text to prepare for printing, we anticipate books on the shelves, so to speak, by late Spring 2021.
